Tuesday adventure: I had just finished eating a salad in the McDonald’s parking lot when a scruffy guy came up to my open car window and showed me a piece of paper that said something about God bless love on it. I shook my head no, I wasn’t interested (I absolutely NEVER respond to begging on the street), and he turned the paper over and pointed out the lines that said he was deaf and could I spare any change. I shook my head no again. I’m not rude about it, just firm. So he points to the deaf, spare change line again and again, I shake my head no. Finally he seemed to get my message and flipped me off as he walked away. How’s that for God bless love?
