Bravo to you and your understanding husband for rescuing the work. I'm a big KnitPicks Options girl myself and have had the same problem with two cables. They also replaced mine, but what I chose to do (since I really do love my set) was to by quite a few extras in varying lengths so I would never be in a bind. I think this happened to three cables total, but to me it was not enough to shake my loyalty to this interchangeable set. Of course... mine did not happen so heart-stoppingly. Keep on truckin'!
